Military Resources
Military OneSource is a free service provided by the Department of Defense to service members and their families to help with a broad range of concerns including money management, spouse employment and education, parenting and child care, relocation, deployment, reunion, and the particular concerns of families with special-needs members. They can also include more complex issues like relationships, stress, and grief. Services are available 24 hours a day — by telephone with professionally trained consultants and online. Many Military OneSource staff members have military experience (veterans, spouses, Guardsmen, Reservists), and all receive ongoing training on military matters and military lifestyle. The program can be especially helpful to service members and their families who live at a distance from installations.

Sure thing girl!

It goes like this:
AB Last Name, First Name Middle Initial
TRS #/FLT # (Dorm)
Street Number and Name Unit #
Lackland AFB, TX 78236-Extension

Here is a fake example:
AB Smith, John C.
321 TRS/FLT 067 (Dorm A-3)
1320 Truemper St. Unit 369524
Lackland AFB, TX 78236-6095

Just so you know what everything in the address stands for:
AB-Airman Basic
TRS-Training Squadron
FLT-Flight

You may have also gotten a PSC #. When I called Lackland, they said DO NOT include it. They said it just takes the mail waaaaaay longer to reach the trainees.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!

What she said Good Post
For some reason, they don't put the PSC # anymore.

Thank you girl!!
I'm just confused now. The way he told me the address was like this:

AB Last Name, First Name Middle Initial
# TRS /FLT # (Dorm)
PSC # Street # Street Name
Lackland AFB, TX 78236-Extension

So i should not include the PSC number?
And does it matter if the number comes first or after the TRS?

If you were to write the PSC #, it would come in between the TRS line and the Lackland AFB line.
It would look like this:
#TRS/FLT # (Dorm)
PSC #
Street#Street Name
Lackland AFB, TX

Or, atleast that's how Nick wrote it before they told him to stop putting the PSC #. Like Caitlin said, it's probabley best to not put the PSC.
I never did, and Nick's letters still got to him.

Don't stress too much about the address.
As long as the you have his name, TRS and FLT formatted correctly, all the letters will get to him.
But the way you have it looks good!
Like I said, just omit the PSC #. It just takes longer. =]

Also, you might already know this, but make sure you're using plain envelopes and don't write anything on it but the return address and his address (plus the stamp obviously :P)
Like no colors, cute notes, stickers, etc. And only send paper, otherwise the TI's will open it and take whatever's in it!

Like I said...you might already know that though haha so disregard that if you did.

Thank you Thank you!

I sent out 3 envelopes with 3 letters in each on sunday. Shane never gave us the "Unit" number when he called. we just got that postcard today and his parents called down there to get the right address.
Is the unit number crucial to write on the envelope? Ughhh, it just sucks so bad cause now it's probably gonna take longer for him to get my letters!@#$%^& :(

As long as you had his name and Lackland AFB on there, it will get to him.
Hug
Just write him tonight with the correct addy and explain why your letters are taking so long. I'm sure he will understand. Plus, now that you have the right address, the letter will get to him in the next few days.
